As the medium from teaching ideas and theory to effective teaching actions and practices, P.E. teaching design is a process to systemize teaching course as well as its factors. The paper tries to build a bridge between theory and online P.E. teaching design. By systematically designing the online P.E. teaching, the paper provides a scheme to solve some practical teaching problems, a scheme with the nature of systematicness, rationality, effectiveness and aiming.The paper mainly applies such methods as interviewing experts, reviewing literature, conducting polls, mathematical statistics and teaching experiments. It analyzes the concept of online P.E. teaching design: apply activity theory to online P.E. teaching; systemize the main characters of online P.E. teaching; according to online teaching features, design proper teaching & studying models; form systematic design patterns and apply the study result to teaching practices to testify.Important conclusions: (1) it's possible to set up a meaningful link between activity theory and the practice of teaching design; it's fit for online P.E. teaching design to apply "the double zhu" design model. (2) from activity theory, take students' activity as principal one, designing both the teacher's dominant activity and students' self-study activity, together with the design of students' study support. The educational idea---"the double zhu", is fully reflected. (3) online teaching and appropriate teachinig designs practise the new methods, which focuses on students and bases on resources. (4) online P.E. teaching, not only adapts itself to the trends that nowadays values of college students are developing synthetically, diversly, but also promotes students' psychological health to form proper values in the harmonious society.Major suggestions: (1) In order to adapt themselves to the study of new teaching tactics and the practice of new teaching design within the atmosphrere of network, P.E. teachers should raise the level of modern educational ideas (2) Teachers ought to have some knowledge of the recent study on teaching design to enrich their theoretical system. (3)According to the characters of P.E. course and online teaching, make a rational teaching design. (4) P.E. course design has to be put into practice only through P.E. teaching activity. (5) Explore new teaching design theory. By choosing appropriate educational study topics or organizing study groups, perfect the system of online P.E. teaching design.
