Design Of Online Learning Activities Based On Activity Theory

With the continuous development of the network technology and the computer technology, distance learning is become more and more popular. Online learning is becoming the main trends in distance learning. However, as the flourish of online learning, the design of online learning activities have not got enough attention。In most online courses, activities are designed very inadequate.In this study, first of all, through the analysis of current online learning activities, we put out the importance of design learning activities in online courses to make students study the knowledge, skills and values, to enhance the experience of emotional attitude, and to enhance the studying effect. Then, we use the Activity theory as the basic theory, constructed the hierarchical model and process model of online learning activities. And based on the basic principles of instructional design to construct a integrated model of design the online learning activities which is under the guidance of the Activity theory. At the same time, based on the model we designed, we specific expound all the stages in design the online learning activities. Based on the Blackboard network teaching platform, we combination of "data structures" course specifically designed at various levels of online learning activities. And based on the process model we select two representative missions to implement. Finally, we sum up the design and implementation of the online learning activities and reach a positive conclusion——Activity theory as a basic theory for design learning activities is feasible and effective.
