A Study Of Blog Issue In China From The STS Point Of View

Nowadays with the vigorous growth of information technology, internet technology is changing the human society. It is constantly weeding out the old to bring forth the new, and brings a new task for STS as well. As the new idol of internet technology, blog, since it was born, has been constantly bringing about wonders and changes for the society, meanwhile, exerting profound influences on the advancement of society.The thesis is making an attempt to stuffy the relationship between blog and other social factors with the theories and methods applied by STS from the angle of STS. The focus is to analyze the relationship between blog and political and cultural factors. First of all, it is can be seen that bog is offering a new power to the development of politics in human society, from the concrete application of the political propaganda in blog and the usage of blog in the process of political democracy. Secondly, blog is also a way of cultural propagation and education. It not only promotes the communication of multi-culture, but also, in education and spreading knowledge, it breaks down the traditional means of teaching and leaning and creates a equal and communicative academic atmosphere and thus offers a room for the integration of multi-discipline sciences.On the other hand, in the infiltration of blog into the fields of culture and politics, it is endowed with some negative effects. For example, threatening the traditional culture excessive freedom brings disordered state and the unhealthy information and some filthy language are forming a place for rubbish information, appealing to people's eyes, and negatively influencing the real society. Concerning the solutions to these problems, the thesis is making an attempt to put forward some practicable plans through analyzing the negative effects of blog: a model centered with the construction of morality, controlled by technology, supported by the supervision of internet management and the perfection of the related laws.It is hopeful that the exemplified demonstration and the trial analysis and exploration can make a little contribution to the study of blog in the future. It can be believed that more attention and discussion on blog will carry the sunshine for the growth of it in China.
