The aim of this paper is to probe into difficult problems and the corresponding teaching strategies of physics in senior high school. In allusion to the fact that middle school students generally think that physics is difficult to learn, in the section of introduction the author analyzes the reasons for the fact, introduces researches in this theme in China and abroad, and then expatiates the necessities of the further systemic study for the difficult problems in senior physics. Chapter One defines and classifies the concept of the difficult problems of senior physics, and then illustrates the requirements for studying the difficult problems in the physics teaching and the significance of culturing students' innovative thinking ability in this research. Chapter Two expounds the leading role of the modern teaching theories such as constructivism and modern scientific teaching theories. Chapter Three takes advantage of the current teaching theories, constructivism and the cognitive characteristics of experts and beginners, and puts forward three teaching principles directing students to solve difficult problems in senior physics by making use of multimedia facilities. In this chapter, three teaching principles are put forward: direct observation principle, heuristic principle, and the principle of linking theory to practice. On the base of these principles, the author discusses four teaching models, namely, students' self-assess learning and teachers' direction model, questioning and discussing model, exploring and discovering model, and solving problems model. Chapter Four divides the difficult problems of physics teaching into four types, that is, problems of concept, regularity, experiment and exercise, and then does research into these four aspects respectively. Finally, in Chapter Five, the author draws a conclusion of this study.
