The physical education (PE)in foreige countries is going into the direction of multi-goals and functions.This aims to meet the different requirements for PE and the cultivation of the talents with different qualities. It mainly performs as: to cultivate the students'self-awareness of lofelong physical education;to cultivate their abilities of self physical training;to advocate the happy PE ,and so on.PE is a science, which has its own characteristics and rules.But the PE models should be changed with the reform of PE in the colleges.All the changes are mainly shown as : the teacher monologuing teaching model into the mutual-communicating one; the inheritant model into the innovative one; and the closed model into the open one. In addition, the PE Organizations should be changed from the rigid type into the active ome,and the PE content, from pre-vocational education to lifelong , happiness , individualized education style. Now, with the continued progress of education ,many modern teaching methods have emerged, such as: sampling teaching methods, attempting teaching methods and so on. These methods have promoted the Physical Education reform to a certain extent.However, the college physical education is still at an early stage in china, and the speed of its development is also very slow. Morecver,traditional teaching methods and systems can't adapt to the new changes at current stage. Because in the traditional teaching process,it is hard to adopt different teaching methods to meet the students'personalities and characteristics.Today we still focus on the physical skills and the training results in the physical education. We have overemphasized on uniformation and standardization of teaching structure, contents, means and assessment in the traditional system.In these years , an asynchronous teaching theory has risen in the education field. Professor Li Shi Fa has pointed: asynchronous teaching theory is a teaching method with a clear goal.,which is also well- planned and organized .it's also the teaching method that combine the three teaching guiding forms (the individual guidance, the specific guidance and the overall guidance) with the five students learning styles (self- learning style, couple- learning style, teacher-consulting styles, and overall learning style). Asynchronous teaching model is featured: It can fully realize the individual personalities and the master role of the students ,realize the asynchronous guidance of the teachers and realize the process for the students to experience the birth and development of the knowledge they are leaning . Asynchronous teaching method is the succession of the traditional model, but transformed and updated it .It is also fit to the modern education trend with increasing development. This study seeks to introduce asynchronous teaching theory into the college Physical Education and integrate this method with the characteristics of Physical Education to promote the further reforms of PE teaching methods. Tennis is chosen as the teaching experiment with the asynchronous teaching theory in this paper,as tennis is a new project to students in the colleges and the process can be controlled easily.To carry out this teaching experiment ,different research methods have been used- the references-consulting method ,the logic method and so on. Therefore, the main task of this paper is to design asynchronous tennis teaching in the guidance of asynchronous teaching theory.We study how we can apply this new teaching method to the tennis teaching and test the effect through teaching experiment.The results show that:the wrong acts decrease from the other students to the experimental students ; the motivation of learning tennis has improved ,as well as the learning initiation;and the later ones also perform better in the examination results of tennis skills, tennis theories and comprehensive skills.Thus asynchronous teaching method can significantly improve the quality of tennis teaching. tennis asynchronous teaching can realize the students'individual learning and teachers'asynchronous guidance, which can unify the guidance activities and learning activities .It also fully mobilizes the students'interest, their learning ability and academic performance .At the same time, it can be got that the asynchronous tennis teaching method designed in this paper is available.And there must be some help to other reform items for this paper.
