| Since 1990s, Multiple Intelligences Theory has highlighted the educational field over the world and thus has become one of the most important theoretical basics for educational reform in most schools. Multiple intelligences curriculum design, one of the fruits in the application of Multiple Intelligences Theory, has caught more and more researchers'attention in China. However, the research on multiple intelligences curriculum design in vocational education field has just made its first step. It deserves further studies both in theory and in practice. Based on the understanding of Multiple Intelligences Theory, this research pays great emphasis on applying the theory into higher vocational education curriculum design with an aim of making the theory adopted and applied widely in the vocational education field.The thesis consists of six chapters which are organized according to the clue of presenting problem, shaping ideas, analyzing problem, solving problem and bring forward certain disadvantages in the higher vocational education curriculum design. Chapterâ… offers a brief introduction to the whole thesis. Chapterâ…¡presents the problem existing in the current higher vocational education course system. By means of questionnaire and interview, the writer analyzes the current higher vocational education course system and features& tendency of intelligences shared by the students in higher vocational colleges. Consulting the goal of higher vocational education, the writer finds that the current course system doesn't accommodate with the development of students'intelligences and thus blocks the achievement of the educational goal. Chapterâ…¢offers the idea of designing the course system with the guidance of Multiple Intelligences Theory. Based on the thorough understanding on the connotation of Multiple Intelligences Theory, the writer thinks it better to design course system in vocational education field with the guidance of Multiple Intelligences Theory, and tries to shape ideas on how to design the course system. Chapterâ…£analyzes respectively three factors in higher vocational education curriculum design. Consulting the value orientation of these factors, the writer presents the goal of Multi-intelligences course in higher vocational education, the option of content in both general courses and major courses as well as the mode of organizing content in project-centered courses. Chapterâ…¤offers the mode of project-centered Multi-intelligences curriculum design. The writer illustrates the mode by means of a typical example in this chapter. Finally, in Chapterâ…¥, a comprehensive discussion on the disadvantages in the higher vocational education curriculum design is conducted, and some suggestions are provided for it.The main achievement of this research is that an utterly new mode of Multi-intelligences curriculum design, the project-centered Multi-intelligences curriculum design, is presented through exploration into the higher vocational education curriculum design both in theory and in practice with the angle of view on Multiple Intelligences Theory. The prospect of the achievement is to put forward some new ideas for the further reform of higher vocational education curriculum in China. |
