Sports consumption is a very important integrant of modern life consumption, as well as the study object of Sports Economics. The establishment of marketing economy" has brought up remarkable changes in peoples' consumption structure, conscious and habit. Flourishing and growing of sports industry leads to expand of sports consumption fields. On the contrary, sport consumption has played an important role in the transition of consumption structure and mode. It has an important affect on economic boosting and acceleration of our sports industry.The paper makes a study on Jiangsu universities and college students' sports consumption status, adopts many method of research such as philology approach, experts interviewing approach, questionnaire approach, mathematical statistics and analysis. The R-factor analysis reveals that university and college students hold a positive attitude toward sports consumption, they gradually noticed that sports consumption can not only keep them fit but also be a good way of entertainment. Sports consumption has become a part of their life. Considerable number of university and college students in Jiangsu support economical sports consumption. Main contents of their sports consumption are clothes. Average expenses are at a relatively low level of RMB 100-700 per year. Mathematical statistics reveals that there are marked differences among Jiangsu students of different sex, grades and students' resource, most of them has more that two motives for sports consumption.
