With the new period of developing the socialist modernization, higher education with high quality meets a challenge in the new century. The core task of higher education is teaching. Improving the teaching quality is the key element for improving the reform and developing, establishing the scientific evaluation system for teaching is the important way to strengthen the management and get the higher quality. The teaching quality is the base for the existing and developing of higher education, it is also the inevitable request of internationalism. The teaching quality is reflected by the quality of respective departments whose quality is reflected by respective courses whose quality is reflected by the teachers. This thesis realized the knowledge digging of evaluation data through the technique of data digging.This thesis mainly includes:a) Make a research about the theoretical and technical basis of teaching quality evaluation. The thesis analyzed the definition, importance and current situation of teaching evaluation concept, introduced the current situation, process, function and tool classification of data digging; introduces the analyzing tool and method of teaching evaluation data.b) Sum up and put forward to the teaching evaluation index system. The thesis analyzed the building principles of evaluation index system adopted by Yichang Education Institute and set up a new one.c) Make a research about the analyzing model of teaching evaluation. The research made a comparison of the mathematical model which is based on neural network theory, the vague synthetical evaluation model and the vague synthetical evaluation based on modifying AHP, then put forward to concrete evaluation method and steps.d) Research and apply the teaching evaluation model through the teaching evaluation of Yiching Education Institute. By the way of factor analysis and cluster analysis,, the researcher made an detailed analysis to the teaching evaluation data of Yichang Education Institute, proved that the results were correspond and the system and model was feasible.
