The Analysis On College Students' Political Identification In The Present Period

Political identification plays a very important role in the development and stability of the society. At present, to emphasize the political identification of college students will be helpful to solve the problems in the society, to keep the society stable and develop, and to stick to the socialist orientation of the Reform and Opening up. This paper is divided into three parts. In the first part, several phenomena are summarized according to the features of the present period, by the means of investigating and analyzing, which include: college students'political identification is right and strong; their political awareness is distinct, whether warm or indifferent; their political understanding is improved but their political spirit is unstable. In the second part, the elements that effect college students'political identification (their value, mentality and political learning) are explained, including the elements both at school and at home. In the third part, main means to develop and strengthen the political identification of college students are put forward based on the first two parts. The key ways are to develop the socialist market economy which can lay a foundation of material; and to perfect the construction of socialist democratic politics, which can offer the political guarantee. Meanwhile, it is also necessary to improve the way of ideological and political education in high schools so as to give the college student more chances to take part in political activities and as a result, to confirm their political identification.
