As being a developing country, China is in the phase of rapid urbanization, and many cities have experienced the earth-shaking changes. While being in constant expansion, cities continuously display the new spirits to the whole world. In this complex process of ever-changing situation, the pursuit of economic interests serves as the final objective. However, a series of social problems emerged with the booming economic development, paragons such as social isolation and differentiation as the initial signs of clues. To improve and solve these economic and social conflicts, government has adopted effective policies at all levels, and specifically to the material city level, housing and living-related policies has helped solve social problems as being one of the valid ways.Since the 1980s, in order to resist the social and economic conflicts and to resolve social problems, the France government has raised and adopted a "social mix" strategy. As for the implement of this strategy and to achieve the objective, the France government, with the use of housing and living policy, closely connected the objective with people's lives that interfere with these policies for the purpose of ensuring the "Social Mix" in the urban renewal process. As a developed capitalist country, France has experienced large-scale urban construction. But there still exists economic recession or poor living conditions in many old industrial blocks after the withdrawal of industrialization. In terms of giving new vitality to these districts, the government updated its city implementation, but there is more prone to social problems in the process such as "gentlemanly" and the long-lasting problem of social isolation, therefore these areas are the good focus of housing and living policy.The study mainly analyzes Lyon, France Vaise quartier's housing in urban renewal and housing policy, the analysis of such effects and the benefits and weaknesses evaluates our housing supply system and housing policy in certain upgrading process. On this basis, to sum up the deficiencies in our nation's solving social problems through living policies, the author put forward some suggestions for improvement and attention with the experience of France.The article is divided into six chapters.
