Organizational structure is not a dominant research item in educational management area today. We can make this judgment from quantity and quality of correlative researches. Under the background of school-based, specialization, professionalization, standardization, humanization, scientific, democratization, moral lead and so on, why school organizational structure is my thesis's direction?From 1990's, because organizational subsistence and development has encountered new challenge, reconstruction of organizational structure, rebuild system, recombine flow etc become hotspot of management research. In corporation area, this challenge appears as subsistence crisis, and efficiency in public organization. This challenge is from "do what, how to do" to "why can't, why failure". To the latter, it will not be settled effectively in traditional management research, and we can see this in educational area.Opening up former books in educational management, more are functional management pointing to material contents such as teaching, student, moral education, physical education and sanitation, finance, logistics and so on, and less are system management such as school strategies management, school knowledge management, school organizational structure design, school flow design and so on. Under background of individuation and diversification of educational requirement, school has encountered more problem today and in the future. Based on this trend, my thesis choose school organizational structure reform as research subject.System item such as organizational structure becomes key element in school management, which is not in the eyes of some researchers criticizing school management but just my thesis's start. First, analyzing based on a case, expatiating why is organizational structure. Second, try to construct a theory frame of organizational management, based on which prove why is organizational structure from theory, and explain clearly all correlative concepts with organizational structure together. Based on this, define school organizational structure to an administrative organizational structure, which mix incomplete bureaucratic shell and complete official standard kernel together. According to this definition, brings forward four reform strategies of school organizational structure: from power balance to efficiency-directed, from part relation to whole relation, from functional control to system control, from single structure to concordant structure.Since aim to "reform", it is not my thesis's intent to put forward an all-purpose structure but to suggest some reform strategies and hope this ice corner offers some helpful reference to schools in designing organizational structure based their management practice.
