The research focuses on the discipline of organizational morphology centering on knowledge production.Based on the relationship between discipline and university,discipline organizations are undoubtedly the essence of basic academic organizations at universities.Besides,the modernization of discipline organization governance system and capability becomes the key to the governance modernization of basic academic organizations at universities,which can expand the practical examples and research perspectives of the construction of “Double First-Class” based on disciplines.This plays a fundamental role in the modernization of university governance and construction of high quality higher education system and the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity.Furthermore,disciplinary systematization which aim for improving the capability of discipline organization knowledge production and center on presenting the academic nature of discipline organizations have become an important choice of modernization of discipline organization governance system and governance capacity.Therefore,with discipline organizations as the research theme,the basic logic of “theory construction-empirical test-path innovation” is followed.On the basis of clarifying the nature and function of disciplinary systematization and the core views of self-organizations theory and governance theory,system analysis and content analysis were used to conduct“individual investigation” and “systematic review” for the guiding direction,structure design,organizational behaviors and external environment of discipline organizations.That helps to sort out the current situation of discipline organizations and reveal its realistic difficulties and deep causes in ways that provide the empirical basis for the choice of the new path of discipline organizations.The analysis is carried out with dimension led by direction centering on the mission,vision and goal construction of discipline organizations.It is found that the mission and vision of discipline organizations are affected by the usurpation of instrumental rationality over value rationality and the overall planning of administration-led discipline organizations.The problems of low visibility,narrow structure and generalized meaning stand out.The discipline organizations are constrained by utilitarianism and simplification,disorder and homogeneity in the aspects of goal setting,goal implementation and goal assessment.As a result,the discipline organizations face the realistic dilemma that the direction leads the whole low position.In terms of the organizational structure,on the basis of the structural form,function and value of the “position-role” subject of disciplinary organizations,the design of disciplinary organization structure is put in the center of the “position-role”design of the discipline leader.What’s more,with the “position-role” structure and mechanism of the discipline leader as the basis,the disciplinary organizational structure is analyzed and studied targeting the rights and liabilities arrangement,quality structure identification,selection procedure design,interest incentive arrangement and assessment mechanism construction of the “position-role”.It is found that because of the limitation of top-level design and top-down administrative leadership,there are some problems such as the fuzzy definition of rights and liabilities,lack of support of the right and liability organizations,narrow recognition of the quality structure and shortage of democratic selection.Consequently,disciplinary systematization lacks the proper structural support.Regarding organizational behavior,analysis is carried out based on the individual behavior,group behavior and overall behavior of disciplinary organizations as well as the internal association between different behaviors.The findings are as follows:under the dual discipline of “emphasizing research over teaching” as the basic paradigm and administration-led academic review as the core,members of the disciplinary organizations are committed to academic research simulation and academic publication with the purpose of obtaining institutional recognition.With individual emotion,knowledge division and capital accumulation as the inner link,the discipline tribes like the “tutor” tribe,“project” tribe and the peer tribe who are constrained by internal emotion,acquaintance relationships and lack of moral self-discipline have a variety of conflicts centering on safeguarding the interests of their own tribe.The communication between discipline tribes is limited by the hierarchy concept and the discipline paradigm,facing the difficulty of the insufficient interactive driving force.This series of behavioral problems affect the construction of internal atmosphere of discipline organization and imperceptibly restrict the advancement of disciplinary systematization.With respect to the external environment,the constraints of the external environment of disciplinary organizations are obtained in accordance with the realistic difficulties and internal causes encountered by disciplinary organizations in the direction guidance of discipline organizations,structure design and behavior paradigm.It is found that the lack of autonomous decision-making right of universities and departments,the power relation of political and administrative power jointly leading academic decision-making,the usurpation of instrumental rationality over value rationality,and the inertial infiltration of “official standard” culture restrict the advancement of disciplinary organization in multiple dimensions.Realistic difficulties and generating logic of discipline organizations are planned as a whole in the direction guiding of discipline organizations,structural design,behavior pattern and external environment with the basic logic of from outside to inside followed.Based on the broad “one to one” mode,the innovative path of disciplinary systematization is refined from the perspective of integration of longitudinal “university-college-discipline organization-member of discipline organization” and horizontal “politics-academics-administration”.This provides a new reference for the construction of "Double
