Since the 1990s, with the development of economic formations, cultural context, mass psychology and the media in our society, pop culture has not only been growing up rapidly but also has got half of the culture territory and breaks the overwhelming superiority of the dominant culture. As an important part of the guiding culture, Chinese education faces a new external environment , in which not only literature has been moving towards peripherization and pressed by both science and mass culture but also the pluralism of values leads to the evanescence of public reading and the formation of a completely new context of culture. Now we find Chinese education which can bring purification to souls is meandering on, which is cacorhythmic with the times. The relationship between Chinese education and pop culture is in an embarrassing and unbalanced position.Trying to focus on the upsurge phenomena of pop culture and the predicament of Chinese education, the thesis probes into the causes of them and objectively reflects and analyses the unbalanced relationship between Chinese education and pop culture. On the one hand, Chinese education is eroded and infiltrated into by pop culture on the front of language, literature and culture, and on the other, Chinese education is losing its position gradually because of the expanding of pop culture. Making use of related theories as a method of analysis, the thesis then discourses upon the evidence that shows bidirectional interactive relationship can exist between pop culture and Chinese education, which means pop culture can enrich Chinese course resources, promote the regeneration of its patterns and midwifery its democracy consciousness, while Chinese education can serve as a filter for pop culture to upgrade its quality and train talents for it. After that, it shows the necessity, immediacy, and feasibility of setting up atoneness between Chinese education and pop culture. Finally, to put into practice it divides Chinese education into three aspects, which includes Chinese language, literature and culture, and mentions some effective measures for it to go together with pop culture. There are four ways in Chinese language education. The first way is to introduce live materials of pop culture to it, in order to invigorate the language. The second is to pay close attention to cynosure, join the language and reflect real life. The third is to survey a variety of common words and take cognizance of the evolution rules of language. The fourth is to base upon contrast to achieve the distillation of language taste. In literature education there are three steps. First, discover the classic from the prevalence. Secondly, take advantage of the prevalence to develop the classic. Finally, make the prevalence popular. In culture education the essay puts forward three measures. The first is to promote students' knowledge of traditional culture in researching study. The second is to infiltrate the fundamental of traditional culture into classroom teaching, so as for students to experience the charms of traditional culture. The third is to introduce modern medium and marketing ideas to give students opportunities to study traditional culture.The writer herself wants to offer some reference thoughts and methods by the research and discussion to encourage more teachers and leaders of schools to understand the development and effect of pop culture positively and scientifically, exploit and use the pop culture resource effectively, change the unbalanced relationship between Chinese education and pop culture practically. We expect to get through a new approach for Chinese education developments to reconsolidate the leading position of it and have it show its vitality again.
