With the fast development of tourism, the ability of tourist guides in verbal expression has a direct influence on the quality of service. At present, the poor ability in their vocal expression facing tourist guiding students in secondary vocational schools makes it difficult to adapt to the quick development of tourism and prevents the progress of students, thus contributing to their failure in job hunting market. Considering the importance of the ability of tourist guides in verbal expression and the poor vocal expresssion ability in tourist guiding students in secondary vocational schools, the paper, starting from the theory of speech and tourism speech, and then ranging over the characteristics of tourist guiding, lays its emphasis on probing into the strategy to improve students' ability in their verbal expression through combination of cultivating students' verbal expression ability with Chinese teaching.The paper consists of three parts: the first chapter makes a brief overview of speech and tourism speech, points out the characteristics of the latter and provides the necessary abilities in verval expression for tourist guiding students in secondary vocational schools; the second chapter displays students' understanding of Chinese, their own Chinese learing condition and teaching situation of Chinese teachers through questionnaires and interviews with students; based on the problems existing in students' verbal expression; the third chapter provides the Chinese verbal teaching training system, which helps improve their speech ability, the system is involved in cultivating students' mental quality through education of psychological health, imparting correct thinking methods and regulating the speech behavior of students in secondary vocational schools, designing Chinese classes aimed at tourist guiding majors, discussing how to perfect the Chinese-learning evaluation system for students. The reseach displays that the Chinese-learning evaluation system for tourist guiding students in secondary vocational schools should be reformed, formative evaluation methods and flexible evaluation content should be adopted so as to promote the development of speech teaching...
