Management Innovation On Interdisciplinary Research Organizations Of Higher Education Institutions

Since the 20 century, development trend of the social sciences' integration and social problems' complexity makes interdisciplinary research has become an important topic in society. Particularly, a wide range of disciplines in institutions of higher learning, various galaxies of talents, interdisciplinary research is able to achieve a breakthrough achievement. In fact, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have become important bases to carry out interdisciplinary research; meanwhile, interdisciplinary research has also become one of the effective ways to be more competitive higher education institutions. As important knowledge production,dissemination and application base, how to bring into play its role in the national innovation system is becoming an important issue which we are currently facing to nowadays. In order to integrate internal resources better, launch interdisciplinary research, upgrade the capability of independent innovation of higher education institutions and make the higher education institutions play a more important part in the national innovation system role, the key issue in this paper is how to innovate higher education institutions interdisciplinary research organizations for management.Starting from the theory and practice of study, through the examination of the concept of interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary research and interdisciplinary research organizations and the main forms and characteristics of interdisciplinary research organizations in higher education institutions, as well as analysis about the running practices of HEIs interdisciplinary research organizations, the paper finally reveals the main obstacles in the interdisciplinary research organizations management of Chinese HEIs. Through inspecting the current situation of the operation of the interdisciplinary research of foreign universities, we sum up their successful experience of interdisciplinary research. On the basis of analysis problems and summing up experiences, in order to solve the existing problems in practical management and operation of Chinese HEIs interdisciplinary research organizations, this paper constitutes interdisciplinary research organization management system and establish correlative strategy to improve interdisciplinary research organization management from clearing the building objectives and principles of interdisciplinary research organizations,advancing the innovation the of organization in interdisciplinary study structure,establishing the management system in the interdisciplinary research organizations,perfecting interdisciplinary research organization's movement mechanism,consummating the management system of higher education institutions interdisciplinary research organization and so on.
