Sense of innovation is one of the important key, as well as creativity, for university talent-cultivating. Exploration and attempts for the promotion of innovation education are always ongoing in domestic and foreign universities, of which "project-based learning", as an effective training methods, are more and more recognized. From the late1990s, domestic universities gradually started undergraduate-centered projects, basing on which "National University Student Innovation Program" was gradually introduced by Department of Higher Education of Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China since2007. As an important reform of higher education, the program attempts to establish a question-or project-focused teaching style, advocate student-centered education. It makes sense to mobilize the initiative, enthusiasm and creativity of students, spark creative thinking and innovation and improve their ability of innovative practices. However, the program also brings the involved universities before a big challenge of organization and management.In this paper, literature research, case analysis, questionnaire survey, interviews and other methods are used to understand fully the concepts and their developments of some nomenclatures such as innovation, teaching talent, innovative education, etc. By analyzing and summarizing talent-cultivating modes of domestic and foreign universities, the current undergraduate innovation program is taken as an effective way of realization of training innovative talents in colleges and universities. To learn the developments of the program, we produce a questionnaire for students participating in the program, and the professional data analysis software SPSS is used to analysis the questionnaire data, and then the factors related to student participation are compared, basing on which and according to some practices data we are trying to find a mode of process management by introduce some principles and methods of management to improve efficiency and ensure the smooth implementation of projects. Finally, some proposals are put forward aiming at the problems in current organizing and management of undergraduate student Innovation Program.
