This research is from the needs of training the 21st century innovative talents and the request of deepening quality education. Based on the current new curriculum reform and the reality of chemistry teaching in high schools, it has proposed the topic of training the middle-school student's divergent thinking ability. This topic is about the research on the theory and practice in terms of the teaching principles, ways, methods, and patterns of training students'divergent thinking ability in the middle school chemistry probing teaching.On the constitution of theory, this research proposed the concept of "chemistry divergent thinking" on the predecessor's foundation and the characteristics of chemistry divergent thinking: openness, dynamic, comprehensiveness and completed the pattern of training students'divergent thinking. It is helpful for the chemical educationers and the students to have a further understanding of divergent thinking. In the practice of teaching, this research has brought up the methods and ways of problem solution, has perfected the method of training chemistry study with good quality and carried on an analysis and evaluation of the effect of the topic research through the investigation.The topic is spreading the principles of proposing the student-centered spirit, promoting the balanced development of students'personalities and training their diversive conciousness, diversive thinking, diversive quality and its capability. At the same time, by setting up a new mode of diversive thinking, the topic is building a practical methodology which takes training diversive awareness ability and studying capability as the value orientation.
