First, the literature review had seriously conducted in this paper. Periodical paper (1996-2006) of biology teachers in middle schools and "the master's degree paper" related web-based instruction was reviewed using "the subject analytical method".The results clearly showed as following. The application of web-based instruction in biology curriculum had begun lately, while developed rapidly. However, the studies on web-based education of Biology in high school were not deep-going. And the development of web-based education in different districts was not balanced famously. Therefore, it should be vigorously popularized. Simultaneously, it was founded that there existed many problems in this field. For example, the related researches were a blank in especially. And at present, there were not related studies to be reported in the aspect on designing and making new courseware. Therefore, it could be said that this study was a new exploration not only from the subject chosen, but also research technique or method.The web-based courseware about new biology curriculum (Elective Module 2) of high school was primarily made by reviewing a lot of domestic and foreign literatures. Its purpose was to integrate the new curriculum idea, also infuse new thoughts of "web education" into the courseware. It was further to research the exploration and application of new electronic information technology in biology discipline education. It could be the most important to improve school teaching.The methods such as questionnaire and individual interview talks had been used in this paper. They were used to test the effect of applying this courseware with the substantial evidence which was proved by investigating and researching deeply. The data were collected back from several high schools in Jilin, Shandong and Guangdong Province. It was processed and analyzed comprehensively by using the software--SPSS13.O. Then it was classified for analysis to include the description, difference, factor and statistical test on the reliability. The objects were divided into three layers: the teacher, student and the experts of assessing courseware. And schools were also divided as key and general middle school at province or city in scale.So, the conclusions were drawn that media forms to been selected were correct. The effect of the surface of web courseware on the visual was really good. Teachers reflected popular appraisals and commends to the courseware. Different districts and different schools existed some differences by using variance analysis.It had set a preliminary exploration. Of course, the constructive suggestions and conclusions were given at last.
