In this paper, the author mainly studied the effect of the assessment onthe level of physical education during the teaching job of undergraduatecourse in the ordinary college. The purpose of this paper is to improve thescheme and the method about assessment so that the development of thesports can be further promoted, and then the quality of physical educationin the ordinary college could be continuously enhanced. The research targetof this paper comes from some colleges in Hunan Province. Many researchmethods, such as documental data, questionnaire investigation, interviewand mathematical statistics were used in the research. The index system ofthe scheme about assessment during the teaching job of undergraduatecourse in the ordinary college and the self- assessment report of eachcollege were analyzed. The research was launched mainly against guidingideology to run a school together with the construction of teaching staff inthe college had been assessed, the reform about physical education, thecondition and utilization of physical education, management about physicaleducation and college students' physique health. By handling andanalyzing statistics with spssll.5 software, the result has been reached asfollows. First, the teaching assessment makes the ideology of college'sguiding to run a school clearer. That is, by closely combining the physicaleducation and cultivating persons of talent, the position of physics wassettled during the process. Second, the teaching assessment quickly makesthe teaching staff in physics stronger, and the manner of physical teacherswill rise steadily. Third, the teaching assessment makes the condition ofphysical education in colleges improve. However, the fee thrown intophysical education is still not sufficient. Fourth, the teaching assessmentmakes the management of physical education in colleges more scientificand the reform of physical education more deep-going. However, thedynamism of reform was not enough. Fifth, teaching assessment makes good physical style of study constructed and physical teaching resultobtained. The college students' physique quality will be continuouslystrengthened. Nevertheless, extracurricular physical activities, physicalsocieties and the construction of sports team in colleges need to beperfected and reformed from many aspects.According to current demand of socialist modernization towardsdevelopment of persons' ability, based on man, the author insists onrealizing all-round coordinated continuous growth with the view ofscientific development. Compared to the principle of promoting reformbased on discussion, promoting construction based on discussion,promoting management based on discussion, combining discussion withconstruction and attaching importance to construction, in order to furtherstrengthen the development of physical education in colleges and improvethe quality of cultivating the persons' ability, the author puts forward foursuggestions. First, the scheme about assessment during the teaching job ofundergraduate course in the ordinary college should be perfected andclassified. Second, by improving the method about assessment andcombining the pattern about assessment of behavior target with the patternabout assessment of free target, the teaching assessment will be moreobjective. Third, the related departments of education and functionaldepartment of physics should strengthen the dynamism of investigation,research and management. Fourth, the inside supervision system ofphysical education's quality should be constructed and perfected inordinary colleges.
