This paper begins with a brief introduction, including the subject about its source, researching situation, contents, significance and reference.The first part outlines the necessity of school-based teaching research of middle school politics: it is the need for the development of political teaching research, political teachers' professional development in middle school, political teaching and the reform of politics curriculum.Beginning with the implication of school-based teaching research ,the second part expounds its three features, the relationship between teaching and research and the theory that will be engaged in school-based teaching research such as the theory of sustainable development , Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences, Bruner constructivism theory, Bloom's goal classification theory and so on.In the third part, firstly, it outlines the form that the school-based teaching research in middle school requires, including full participation, internal and external exchanges, solidarity and cooperation. Then, it discusses the exploration of school-based teaching research though the case of Xiangya Middle School. This exploration includes ideological and political action plan, political Lesson, teaching educational narration. The action plan includes improving teaching achievements strategy, problem-teaching mode and Yangsi mode. Teaching theory, procedures, teaching, teaching reflection of these three modes are carried out. Lesson in politics, education teaching narrative provided examples for analysis.The fourth part reflects the problems that middle school politics school-based teaching research should attach importance to. It points out the main problems ,especially the current problems that Xiangya Middle School are facing and puts forward the measures and reflection from systems, training levels, political teachers and college.
