"Press close to life and community"is the trend of chemistry curriculum reform in our country, which is obtaining more attention. At one time,"Press close to life and community"has great function in improving learning interest of liberal arts students in chemistry. The research based its theoretic basic on the constructivism, STS education and life education, and then makes a process of teaching practice and experiment which lasts one term.This essay begins with the meaning of"press close to life and community"in curriculum on the base of summarizing other research, and introduced the main theory base: constructivism, STS education and life education. Then analyze the teaching case. At last, this essay adopted the method of demonstration research, analyzed the actual effect of"Press close to life and community"in improving learning interest of liberal arts students in chemistry.
