"Close to life and community" is the trend of chemistry curriculum reform in our country, which is obtaining more attention. At the same time, it has great function in improving learning interest of students in chemistry.This essay firstly states the significance of "chemistry education closing to life and community", and then reports a process of teaching practice and experiment based on the constructivism learning theory, STS education and the idea of chemistry education closing to life. Through analyzing the cases of teaching practices, the students'abilities to analyze and solve problems have been improved. The students have strengthened the ideology of study of chemical knowledge returning to life and society. At last, this essay discusses and proves the actual effect of "chemistry education closing to life and community" in improving learning interest of students in chemistry by the method of demonstration research.
