| For the present, there were a lack of the study on the working efficiency of the tutor teachers in high vocational colleges. Therefore, with a self-efficiency scale of the tutor teachers, revised on a basis of a self-efficiency scale of administrators, an administration on 64 tutor teachers was carried out in a high vocational college in Jilin Province. As a consequence, the present situation of the working efficiency of tutor teachers is discussed in the paper as well as an analysis of its affecting factors. It is clear that the whole situation is good and more than 95 percent tutor teachers are confident of what they are doing. Record of formal schooling is an essential affecting factor for the working efficiency of tutor teachers. The factors of health, marital status, the condition of being a professional teacher or not have some influence on tutors teachers' ability. On the other hand, age and the time-limit of managing classes have no obvious effect on working efficiency although it is different from other previous studies. Tutor teachers often get high scores on the factors of managing students, dealing with information and supervising while they have lower scores on the factors of social adjustment, planning, solving problems and counseling. The difference is great. In the end, defects and shortcomings of this study are summarized on the basis of study conclusion, and moreover, the author gives us a prospect on the study of this field for the future. |
