At present,many countries have attached great importance to the reform of the secondary geographic literacy training. Geography information literacy is one of the most important contents. Through the training of geography information literacy for middle school students,students can master the geographic learning ways in information society,achieve the sustainable development of geographic learning and the teaching aim of lifelong learning.This study in the international geographic education trend, taking the idea of the new geographic curriculum reform,in view of the actual situation in secondary geography teaching,draws the theoretical results from information literacy study and takes the methods of macro-and micro analysis,based on the crossfire of pedagogy, psychology and geography,and uses literature reading,analysis,logic and theoretical exploration methods to research the geography information literacy.Firstly,this paper completely summarizes the study results of information literacy and geography information literacy,points out the problems and inadequate,and identify the perspectives and framework of the study.Secondly,this study defines the geographic information sources,summarizes common types of geographic information sources in secondary geography teaching,and classifies the geographic information sources according to different standards,and indicates their characteristics.This paper believes that,geography information literacy means that learners form the relatively stable psychological character in the process of actively getting geographic information by information sources and solving the problem of geography,which includes three specific training contents,that knowledge of geographic information,geographic information awareness and quality, and geographic information capabilities.From the specific training contents of geography information literacy,this study develops the training standards of geography information literacy in secondary schools,including solid knowledge of geographic information,strong geographic information awareness and quality,excellent geographic information capabilities,and more detailed standards for details.on this basis,this study works out the training strategies of geography information literacy in secondary education.
