Ancient Chinese poetry teaching is an important part of the instruction in Chinese language. It not only advances us to know the Chinese traditional culture, but also makes us spiritual improvement during its processes. As the important part of the Chinese traditional culture, today ancient Chinese poetry teaching should take on the hard duty of emotion education to the education. But because of the effects of current test-induced education, Ancient Chinese poetry teaching in middle school only paid more attention to pouring knowledge as well as training of skills toward students, and neglected the value of the emotion education.Chinese is a course with strong humanism. All of the excellent verses in the articles are the products of writer's sentiment and intellect, which including a lot of sentiment elements and burdening the critical task of sentiment education. This thesis tries to expound the connotation and signification of sentiment education based on the present situation. Combining with the reality of the students, it tried to probe into the effective way which how to penetrate the sentiment education in the Chinese education by digging it during the classical poetry education. It points out the character of "humanism" and the education idea of "emphasis on people" in the Chinese education, puts forward to quality education. The thesis consists of the following three sections.The first section analyses the connotation of sentiment education and expounds the signification in the classical poetry education, combining the reality of the students with the trend of basic education reform and the nowadays situation in the middle school.The second section is the main body with sentiment education in the classical poetry. It displays the training of ethical sentiment from the point of developing the perfect personality, the training of rational sentiment from the point of the spirit of finding out the truth, the training of aesthetic sentiment from the point of the charm of the artistic sense.The third section discusses how to carry on the sentiment education by the research on the teacher and the education.
