Research On Cultivating The Sense Of Social Responsibility Of University Students

The university students are the hope of our country and nation. They have the responsibility to construct our country heading to the rich and strong socialism nation. So they should have strong sense of social responsibility. Cultivating university students' sense of social responsibility is not only the need of developing our country and nation, but also in favor of their growth and perfection.This article investigates the present condition of university students' sense of social responsibility by questionnaire, interview and etc. Through the investigation, the author find that most students are active and healthy, they have strong sense of social responsibility, but some students have no clear sense of the social responsibility, and their social responsibility have great wave, practical, selfish and contrary. There are still some problems in the cultivating process. There aren't strong relationship among society, university and family. The university as the "main battlefield" of cultivating college students' sense of social responsibility, they have the following problems: The contents of theoretic lesson are empty and boring, the teaching method is not suitable, and the way of evaluating is not reasonable. The students have little chance to participate in practice, they didn't have too much interesting, and the guidance by the teacher in practice is too short.On the basis of the investigation, the author analyzes the reason as following: The social circumstance's bad influence weaken the students' sense of social responsibility. The education of university also have some problems. The lacking of home education and the low level of self-development of students have maken the students' low sense of social responsibility.According to Marxism theory about the relationship between people and the society, the author brings forward some strategies to cultivate the college students' sense of social responsibility, such as: Creating good social circumstances. Full developing the "main battlefield" function of the university. The university should strengthen the politic and moral education; innovate the method of educating and managing; provide more chance for students to participate in practice; construct a teacher troop with strong sence of social responsibility; establish a good campus culture and etc. The family should give the children correct leading and the students should strengthen self-improvement.
