| Teaching-type university is an important component of China's higher education, as well as the commitment of popularization of higher education, In the background of implementing the talent-concerned strategy, it's very important that building a contingent of high-quality teachers adapt to the development of teaching-type university. Teachers' performance evaluation is not only a theoretical and practical task but also a challenging topic. It affects the quality of higher education and teachers' personal development. However, the studies of teacher evaluation started relatively late in our country, and the research about teacher evaluation of teaching-type university is comparatively weak. I have read a lot of information about teacher evaluation and performance evaluation, after inheriting, analyzing and developing, establishes some personal opinions about teacher s' performance evaluation in teaching-type university.The whole article is divided into five parts, the first part presents the significance of teachers' performance evaluation in the teaching-type university, defines some core concepts, and reviews other studies of this topic; the second part is the overview about performance evaluation, discusses the meaning in intension, function, content, process, and methods, also discusses the characteristics of the work of the teachers in teaching-type university and the principles and methods of performance evaluation; the third part analyzes the status of teachers' performance evaluation in the teaching-type university, and points out some problems in evaluation system, items and methods; the fourth part gives some suggestions to improve the teachers' performance evaluation in teaching-type university; the fifth part is the conclusion, it presents some shortcomings in this study, and points out that it needs to analyze the differences of the university when you use the evaluation items, standards and scale proportion. |
