The ability of biology experimental design is one of the main aspects in checking MET'biology abilities. It checks mainly on whether students comprehends the theories of experiment, whether they have the abilities of using experimental knowledge and shifting knowledge indifferent circumstantces ,so that it shows the teaching philosophy,and direct the new education curriculum reform.However,experimental design is a kind of high-level experimental test, with high demands, great difficulties .it's necessary to analyses the abilities of current students'experimental design, and to look for the strategies.This study uses the questionnaire survey approach, test survey approach. For one hand, towards students, we use self-generated questionnaire and test to a provincial model high school science students of senior three in order to know the weak link in students'biology experimental study and design. For another hand, towards teacher by watching the biology experimental class and commenting with some biology teachers, we get to know the current teaching status and to analyses its Disadvantage factor, and to enlighten the teachingAccording to the survey, we think ,today ,the level of students'abilities is designing the biology experiments is commonly low, which mainly shows: the level of basic theories is low, the plan of designing experiments lacks scientific, the abilities of self-creation is low, and they lack of flexibility. After analyzing the reasons. We found that, nowadays, it associated with the lag of biology experiment teaching, old and fossible teaching method. During the teaching, most teachers use traditional replication operation teaching method, Students mainly operate according to the experimental steps provided by teachers. If so, students will pay attention to the results only, instead of process, and form the habit of dependence on the teachers and books .besides, another reason is that the awareness of the students and the lack of knowledge are important factors as well.To the current situation, we should train the students'abilities of experimental design. We have the following practical strategies(1) we should reform the way of biology experimental teaching, change the concept of teachers and students, and imply the explore types;(2) we should pay attention to the basic experimental theories teaching to strengthen the reserving of the theories ;(3) we should also strengthen mentality teaching;(4) we should excavation the text content, and expand the experimental design teaching.The training of student's abilities of experimental design is a process. The research of this thesis is not deep enough, however, we analyses the current biology experimental teaching and give the strategies. We hope they can be useful to the current teaching and study.
