The Study Of Blackboard-Electronic Teaching Media Application In Geography Teaching Of High School

The advancing science and technology, together with teacher's personal development contributes to the up-to-minute improvement of the geography teaching methodology. Maps serve as multi-functional vehicle of geographical information. Skillful drawing and sketching on the blackboard not only highlights the characteristics of the subject but also motivates students and inspires interests. For students to master knowledge subconsciously, on the other hand, electronic teaching media for teaching with its rich and colorful expressions has become popular is teaching reform. It is inevitably required in the new round of teaching reform to promote the application of advanced information technology and pace up its integration with geography teaching.At present, many young and even some middle-aged teachers during their teaching tip towards electronic teaching media method and thus ignore the traditional but beneficial drawing and sketching method, eventually at the sacrifice of losing basic teaching skills. To reverse the trend, the thesis makes a study into the best teaching method that should differ in time, place, contents of the text book and target listeners, by drawing inspiriting from others'teaching conducts and my personal working experience. The study is also based on the latest concept of teaching reform, geography teaching methodology, educational psychology and some related theories. Meanwhile, it also takes into consideration the characteristics of geography drawing and sketching method and electronic teaching media method, and the applied strategies of two are included. A recommended method table is also designed for different chapters of the text book.In the background of the information age, it is important and necessary to find out the best merging point of both the traditional drawing and sketching method along with the advanced electronic teaching media method.
