In knowledge economic age, human resource management is raised to a higher level, and become one of important part of colleges and university's management. In spite of it, some problems are also left over. An Advance technology would be found inevitably. Data mining, which is good at finding mode from data, has been applied in many fields and obtained good economic results. This is a new method.As a guide to modern human resources management theory, this paper use data mining technology "intelligent" and "automatic" to the Human Resources Management System for the analysis of the situation making effective use of a large amount of data information. And on this basis, discover valuable knowledge to guide our actual work, colleges and universities to enhance the overall strength of competition.Firstly to introduce the thesis, expatiates upon the background and purpose of the study as well as the meaning, content, study method and technique road-map. Competitions among colleges and universities root on talent competition and how to comprehensively master and reasonably utilize human resources is the primary problem of the human resource management of contemporary colleges and universities. The study purpose of the thesis is using scientific quantitative analysis method to find solutions of corresponding problems. Beginning with expatiation upon theory relative to data mining technology and combining with theory relative to colleges and universities human resource management, the thesis use data mining technology to solve problems regarding to colleges and universities human resource management, such as classification of talent types, preventing head draining, and evaluation of performance assessment system.Secondly to study on thesis expatiates upon theory of data mining technology including domestic and abroad research status of data mining technology, principles of data mining technology, practical application of data mining, as well as basic procedure and analysis approach of data mining.Thirdly to discusses the application of data mining technology in colleges and universities human resource management. The thesis focuses on solving three problems about human resource management using data mining, using data mining technology to classify colleges and universities' talent types, prevent head draining, and evaluate performance assessment results.At last to discuss about the actual example study of the application of data mining technology in human resource management of L University. Through quantitative analysis to solve problems regarding to human resource management of an university, an university can achieve the effective combination of develop strategy and human resource management strategy, escalate staffing efficiency, and enhance the colleges and university's core competitive power.
