The Research On Middle School Students' Idolatry And The Research On The Relationship Between Idolatry And Self-worth

This study compiles the scale of Idolatry for Middle School Students,on the basis of a series of preparations. Then the researcher selects 632 Middle School Students from 3 Middle School in Conghua,Guangdong,including Conghua Middle School,Conghua NO.3 Middle Shool, Conghua NO.6 Middle Shool,in order to explore and analyze the Middle School Students' Idolatry and the research on the relationship between Idolatry and Self-worth. On the basis of some conclusions,the researsher discusses with some Middle School Students. Finally, the study gives some advices to enhance Idolatry Eucation in Middle School.By compositive investigation and data analysis, the study draws following conclusions:1,"Singers and movie stars","sports stars"and "notable person" are the mainstreamadored by middle school students. There were significant differences among genders,grades and schools;2,A majority of students chose "adore highly, but senseness". There were significant differences among grades and schools;3,"Sensory Enjoyment" and "Social Character Appreciating" are two main factors of causes of idolatry for teenagers. "Sensory Enjoyment" are different among genders and schools; "Social Character Appreciating"are different among grades and schools;4,There are significant main effects on the sum of self-worth and a few dimensions of self-worth for idolatry type.As for idolatry degree, the students' most of the self-worth dimensions who chose "adore highly,but senseness"were higher than "adore normally" and "adore generelly";5,Adoring idolatry's different contens is correlated to self-worth significantly, "Social Character Appreciating" has significant effects on it.
