Gender roles are manifested in cognitive, behavioral and emotional on the physiological basis of gender, under the influence of social, cultural and social expectations, learned inherent mode. Middle school students are at an important period in the differentiation of gender roles. First of all, they are biologically gradually mature showed significant gender identity. Second, middle school students in the gender role socialization process, acceptance from parents, schools, social and cultural expectations of gender roles and gender role to strengthen high school students, especially through media publicity, the formation of gender roles shape.In this study, a literature review on the basis of the actual situation, investigation and study of800middle school students in Zhengzhou City, the relations of gender roles and idolatry. The test tool uses the "Bern Sex Role Questionnaire and Secondary School Students’ idol worship questionnaires. This study analyzed the Students’ gender roles and the status of idolatry, the differences in gender and grade, and gender roles of idolatry.. The results are as follows:1. The development impact of gender stereotypes on the students’ gender roles still exist, the relatively high proportion of middle school students undifferentiated. Androgyny, male middle school students and middle school girls in no significant differences, but the number of androgynous girls higher than boys. In the typification of gender roles, the differences between men and women are extremely significant. Undifferentiated, basically no difference between men and women. The third and the third year is the best stage of the development of gender roles. The development of junior secondary level, gender roles were ups and downs trend; androgyny from the entire high school has been an upward trend, undifferentiated, masculine and feminine are basically at the downward trend. The entire secondary stage was ups and downs of development.2. Middle school students, prevalence of the phenomenon of idolatry, the idol is mostly dominated by men. Media (television, newspapers, networks, etc.) become the main channel of high school students get the idol information. The singer and star of the type of idolatry is more than half. Middle school students the idol of gender roles, androgyny, mainly middle school students’ idolatry gender roles is a single-sex and undifferentiated number difference was not significant. Select idol by the impact of gender stereotypes, boys tend to choose to worship the idols of the masculine, and girls tend to choose feminine idols to worship. Idol gender role in middle school students on the gender roles, there were significant differences. The type of secondary school students’ idol sex role differences in grade.3. Students’ idol worship is widespread, and many in the shallow worship. In worship shallow involved in the level, the female subjects than male subjects, high involved in the level of worship, the male subjects than female subjects. Regardless of which level of the degree of worship, the androgynous idol proportion. In this study, high school students on the stage of idolatry many in the mild stages of worship, junior high school many deep-rooted worship stage.4. High school students and masculine qualities by their own gender, parents’ expectations, the masculine qualities of the two idols and idol worship extent. Secondary femininity by their own gender, parental expectations and the desired degree, the feminine qualities of the two idols and idol worship.
