Established by Confucian, carried forward and developed by Confucianism masters through the ages, Confucian culture gradually grew to the orthodox culture of Feudalism in China which existed for over 2000 years. Meanwhile, it is an important part of the culture of the Chinese nation. On the other hand, there still exist such ideological misunderstandings of Chinese teaching concerning the inheritance of Confucian culture that many Chinese teaching workers do no more than explaining or translating the words, phrases and sentences when dealing with the articles on Confucian culture, ignoring illustration and spreading of its essence—"benevolence", "love" ect. In view of the above-mentioned facts, this piece of article which is based on the essence, analyses the present situation of Confucian culture in middle school Chinese teaching and emphasizes its significance in broadcasting the culture of the Chinese nation and building socialistic civilization both politically and spiritually. Moreover, this article also has some opinions and suggestions offered on Confucian culture's status and function in the future's Chinese teaching. Every effort is made to help promote the reform of middle school Chinese teaching, leading it to a healthily and regularly developing track.
