Study On The Performance Evaluation Index System In Vocational Schools

The national finance has been enlarging its devotion into vocational education. The educational market is opening. The investors of schools have been diversified. All these factors have made the government, the department in charge of educational administration and some other educational investors pay special attention to the performance of vocational schools. The western countries emphasize on the evaluation of educational performance, and they have set up a perfect performance evaluation system. But until now we haven't set up such a scientific evaluation system, whether for the government or for the vocational schools.The thesis tries to cast back the origin of performance. It means to analyze the problems in evaluating the performance of vocational schools, on the basis of studying the theoretical gist. It wants to set up an index system which is suitable for evaluating the performance of vocational schools, according to the characteristics of vocational schools and the diversity of their benefit. It tries to show the performance of vocational schools by studying the rational indexes. It aims to provide a practical and new way for the performance evaluating of vocational schools. The thesis makes clear some principles in obtaining evaluating index, for example, the principle of relevance, the principle of importance, the principle of the combination between comparability and practicability. It offers the strategies of setting up the key index system in evaluating the performance of vocational schools, by the Delphi method. It confirms the standard indexes, the conversion between different types of index, and introduces in detail the methods and processes in getting the comprehensive marks of the performance of vocational schools. It also analyzes completely the uses of the performance evaluation index system in practice, by the means of the typical specimens in a vocational school in Wuxi. Therefore, the thesis mainly discusses a series of methods and strategies in evaluating the performance of vocational schools by using some proper index evaluation system.
