The Research On Modern West Collectivism Education

Economy developed fast and people's life level was promoted remarkably in the west since modern times. Part of reasons is the collectivism education the west has been implementing, especially since modern times the west countries have attached more importance to value education and collectivism education, enhanced people's quality by use of implementing collectivism education, and then promoted economy and society's development. So this dissertation is aim to discuss the west collectivism education in modern times, and explore its developing trend in the future.This dissertation includes three parts.The first chapter simply introduces the nascence of the west modern collectivism education and Sparta's collectivism education is the nascence. Collectivism education go on developing in Middle Ages, however, the develop direction is wrong. The second chapter introduces the theory and practice of the west modern collectivism education in detail. It first analyses the meanings of the west modern collectivism education. The USA famous educationalist John Dewey's research on collectivism education is profound, so this part chooses Dewey's collectivism education thought and practice. Then I introduce Dewey's collectivism education practice place-Chicago experiment school from educational idea and curriculum arrangement. The third chapter explores the trend of the west modern collectivism education. The trend is learning from east, attaching more importance to value education, emphasizing collectivity responsibility education, and stressing citizenship education.
