| The outline of the basic education curriculum reform (trial edition) explicitly points out"In order to guarantee and impel the requirements of curriculums for different areas, schools and students, we carry out 3-level curricula management models: the national, local and school curricula management ones."And then the school-based curriculum development is gradually becoming one of the hot issues of curriculum reform. Long-term and top-down national curriculum development strategy existing in China, the subject expert located in the heart of curriculum development, and there being lack of links between the curriculum development experts and the teachers who actually practice the curriculum, many schools will inevitably face a variety of issues while practicing the school-based curriculum development. Compared with the school-based curriculum development and research abroad, our school-based curriculum development and research methods are more theoretical and less practical. Especially we seldom make the unique "school-based" empirical research or case analysis. In the content of the research, we emphasize the demonstration of the necessity of school-based curriculum development, but pay little attention on the reality of the situation in primary and secondary schools. Based on the study on the case of school-based curriculum development of No.16 middle school of Guilin in Guangxi, this thesis analyzes the conspicuous problems in the school-based curriculum development and proposes seeking solution ways for the benefit of promoting the overall development of school-based curriculum, constructing the courses system with the characteristics of schools and beneficial to develop students and teachers'profession to adapt to the need of educational reform and future development.This thesis contains four parts as follows:Part I expounds the genesis, the domestic and international present research situation and the significance of this thesis.Part II is on the research methods.
