The Experimental Study On Promoting The Development Of Education Informationization By Setting Up A School-based Resource Center

By the end of the 20th century, Education Informationization, like a giant, has been marching with firm strides to us, which is destined to set off another great change in the education sector. However, it appears to stumble.China's rapid development of Education Informationization in the education sector resulted in a number of issues and encountered a bottleneck in the course of the development. One of the biggest issues is imbalance: First, the imbalance between hardware construction and software construction, it is widespread that we put emphasis on the hardware and generally neglect the software; Second, the imbalance between construction and application, huge investment has been put in educational equipment, but only a small portion is to be used. Many experts and scholars have realized it and conducted an investigation and research, they have made some comments and suggestions as well, but this phenomenon has not been inhibited in the frontline education. Despite the fact that we continue to invest on modern educational equipment, we are rarely interested to use it. The school where I work is seriously confused by this problem.To break the bottleneck, I conducted an investigation in this school. I have found that teachers are unwilling to use the modern educational equipment due to the shortage of resources. So I hope we can combine the construction of resources and the increase of equipment utilization rate, encourage all teachers to participate, build a school-owned resource center,. Through construction of school-based resource center, we will improve equipment utilization, and accelerate the process of Education Informationization, killing three birds with one stone. So I conducted a case study of the construction of school-base resource center in this school. For nearly one year, we made some achievements and it proved that the idea is feasible—at least in this case.
