| Inquiry learning is a kind of learning style and curriculum form that a new round fundamental education curriculum reform in our country proposes. As a kind of curriculum form, "Inquiry learning" means a learning field in which students choose and decide research topics from nature, society and their own life and their interests with the guidance of the teacher. They obtain and apply knowledge actively and solve the problem. Chinese inquiry learning means a kind of Chinese learning practical activity in which students read texts and other Chinese phenomenon in similar methods of science research according to the guidance of the teacher during Chinese teaching in order to master the laws,obtain the knowledge,develop creative thinking.In order to apply the theory of inquiry learning to teaching practice, we must solve the following two problems: (1)What's the foundation of inquiry learning? (2) According to the theory, what kind of pattern should we design for teaching itself.This thesis bases on my own teaching practice and thinks about some theories problems of Chinese inquiry learning in junior high school and carries on the correlative teaching practice by using the method of documentation and action research.The purpose of this research is : It starts from the correlated concepts of inquiry learning and combines the character and laws of Chinese teaching practice in junior high school closely, to inquire into the educational value and character of the inquiry learning, including the principles and corrected strategies on which it is carried out, to use the result to guide and improve my own Chinese teaching practice, to stir up the students' interests in learning Chinese, to widen the students' visual field of learning Chinese and thus to promote their language attainment and their ability.This paper presents the foundation of inquiry learning in terms of construction theory, international cooperation education current of thought, lifelong education thought and character of Chinese teaching.
