Elementary education reform in Chinese require should aim at improving the quality of the whole nation, cultivate the student' scientific qualities and spirit of creativity , with the self-consciousness of students and guidance of teachers, so as to form the basis of students life-long learning. Two characteristic of middle school teaching according to the new chemistry course standard is construction and inquiry. The teaching mode involved with "construction and inquiry" is based on this understanding.This paper studies the base of construction and inquiry teaching mode and abroad. Based on the construction learning theory, cooperation learning theory , inquiry teaching and the basic theory If the new "Chemistry Course Standard" etc. the mode theory and practice problem is investigated by material studying , individual study . This paper includes the following: the theory basis of the construction and inquiry , the meaning of the construction and inquiry, the way to estimate students' ability of inquiry in teaching.After four months practical teaching, it demonstrated that the teaching mode involved with construction and inquiry can not only change the students' ways in chemistry learning , motivate their interesting, train their habits in inquiring , analyzing and dealing with then information , improving their trouble consciousness and collaborative consciousness , and the ability to inquire problems by themselves , but also can produce learn scientific inquiry method, at the same time change the teaching ideas and action of the teachers , thus promoted their teaching level . It deepens the new elementary education reform.
