The emotion attitude and value education is an important part of quality education, and is ultimate aim of subject teaching in basic education. Geograph as a subject to learn about human's living environment, to discover close relations between humans and nature, to establish sciencial development concept, contains rich contents of emotion attitude and value education. Appliment of this education firstly adapt to the needs of overall and harmonious development in geography quality teaching in the new century, secondly in accorded with the demands on emotion attitude and value of , the demanded spirit in . Its purpose lies in improving student's geography attainments and making students form good habits in getting good on with nature.Judging from current geography teaching situation in China, we have made great achievement in knowledge-learning technical-forming, but the ulimate aim has been ignored. With the reform and development Since1990s, especially after enacting and promulgating Chinese , the emotion attitude and value education has risen to the height that is never existed previously. Even the textbook used by full-time common high school published in 2003 added a lot contents of emotion attitude and value. By adopting the methods of documents investigation statistics and behavior research, this article analyses the background about the education of geography emotion attitude and value, probes to the contents and methods of the geography emotion attitude and value education, and then draws several conclusions as flowing:①There are a variety of contents of education ofemotion attitude and value in the textbook of Grade one in high school. Emotion education contains interesting in study ,concepts of right and wrong ,realization of the beauty and realization of national condition and national policy ;attitude education contains the concept about population ,the concept about resource ,the concept about environment ,the concept about developing and science attitude ;value education contains patriotism, internationalism, dialectical materialism,the realization of collaborating, the realization of calamity, the realization of innovating, the realization of duty and obligation and attitude on life. There are 3 large classifies and 17 sub-classifies. Amounting to 1535 emotion attitude and values education, supply plenty of materials of the emotion attitude and values education for geography teachers;②The education of the concept of continued developing is a core of the emotion attitude and values education in grade one of high school, but it isn't emobodied in some units;③The emotion attitude and values education such as the realization of collaborating, the realization of calamity, the realization of duty and obligation and attitude on life needed badly strengthening;④The methods of geography emotion attitude and values education was varied,but they relied on the five fundamented methods——sermonize, analysis of emotion attitude and values, sensibility training of emotion attitude and values, clarifying of emotion attitude and values and example;⑤Sermonize and example were largest universal used, sensibility training of emotion attitude and values was well used .
