The development of emotion attitudes and values will be the important part of course target. To go further into the connotation of emotion attitudes and values, we should connect it with affective domain in the classified subject of course target. The development and assessment of emotion attitudes and values for senior middle school of geography teacher. This essay systematically discusses the following 3 major aspects-the demand and significance which new course standard makes or bring in for emotion, attitudes and values, the development of emotion, attitudes and values and issues deserving much attention and the evaluation of emotion, attitudes and values. For emotion, to develop the patriotism and the responsibility for society. For attitudes, to develop a positive attitude towards study, a rigorous and dialectical attitude and a concerned attitude. For values, to develop the conception for lasting development, globe conception, resources conception, environment conception and harmoniousness conception between human and earth. The emphases on students' emotion, attitudes and values highlight the idea that educators should put the development of students into the basic position. Furthermore, it will advance the development of students all- aroud. Therefore, this article importantly expounds the development of students' emotion, attitudes and values, and it also, combining the objective reality of geography teaching in senior middle-schools, puts forward the useful methods for teachers to evaluate students emotion, attitudes and values, such as observation method, questionnaire method, conversation method, LIKERT scale method and so on. These could give senior middle school geography teacher some illumination in their present-phase teaching practice.
