Formal logic is an instrumental science which studies the form of thinking, rules of thinking and simple logical methods. From the thinking point of view, formal logic thinking is in the primary stage of human thinking. If people don't know the formal logic, their logical thinking is in a state of spontaneity or unconsciousness. Only depending on the state of unconsciousness is hard to ensure the logic of our thinking, to improve the ability of our logical thinking and to avoid errors in logic efficiently. It is necessary to apply formal logic to physics textbooks and physics teaching in order to improve the ability of teachers' and students' logical thinking and avoid kinds of errors in logic efficiently.This thesis deals with physics teaching from the angle of formal logic. It mainly studies high-school physics textbooks and physics teaching from the form of thinking, including aspects such as concept, judgement and reasoning. Firstly, this thesis discusses the denotation and connotation of concepts, the types of concepts and the relationships between concepts to study physics concepts. Secondly, it studies physics rules in the view of judgement and reasoning, illustrates the types of judgement and reasoning about physics rules, offers the correct reasoning rules and provides logical methods to search reasons. Thirdly, the cases about teaching plans are analysed in the view of formal logic. Finally, the author brings forward the operation tactics of formal logic which can be applied in physics teaching.
