Sports dance is a kind of sports conducted with musical rhythm. It has gradually entered the P.E courses in our country, and is greatly appealing to college students. The teaching effect can be improved by its proper ,scientific and its aimed teaching methods and this Sports which combines the physical exercises,entertainment and appreciative beauty together in order to promote the quality education and carry through the thinking of "health first "among colleges and universities. Sports dance steps relatively later in China. It falls behind in teaching research comparing with other athletic programmers. This can be shown by the face that we don't have a set of Sports dance curriculum system suitable for teaching targets in colleges. There are not directed. In recent two years the concerned researches have studied very hard on this field. But it is far from enough. And further research is needed.The music-imagine method of P.E teaching method is adopted in this articles which is borrowed psychological training. In the course of Sports dance teaching .either teachers instruct students consciously or having a definite purpose, or students imagine the taught actions in their minds on their own initiative according to the right action models, hinted by the combination of language and music. Through this action and music can be unified perfected and the quality of the action can be improved accordingly. As a result, teaching process is speeded. That is to say, under the hint of music, the teaching results on how to improve the physical exercise are discussed by comparing the combination the teaching methods with normal ones and the normal teaching methods on students.
