As a carrier of implementing curriculum, textbooks are in an important position in curriculum. All previous curriculum reform regard textbooks as one of the important contents of studying curriculum reform, it is no exception to current curriculum reform. Reform of textbook is still the important component of present curriculum reform. Under the background of new curriculum, studying the characteristics of compiling new textbooks, have certain meanings to later textbook compiling and improvement, to present teacher training, and to the curriculum theory study of primary school mathematics.This thesis analyzes and compares the new mathematics textbook of primary school in our country with traditional textbook and Canadian mathematics textbook from the following aspects: the idea of compiling textbook, the structure of textbook ,the content distribution and the typical cases. By looking for the generalities and differences, and reviewing on the basis of analyzing the generalities and differences, this thesis hope to get some inspiration. On the basis of investigation on urban and rural mathematics teachers who use the new textbook, knowing the situation of their using new textbook, the thesis gets further conclusion and enlightenment through combining the comparison with the investigation.The thesis mainly includes five parts which are introduction, the analysis and comparison of the idea of compiling textbooks and the structure of textbooks, the analysis and comparison of the content distribution of textbooks and the typical cases, the investigation on the situation of using new textbooks, conclusion and thinking.Part One includes the proposition of the study problem, the synthesis of study on textbooks, the definition and explanation of relevant concepts.Through the analysis and comparison of the compilation idea and the structure of new and traditional textbooks as well as Canadian textbooks, Part Two summarizes the generality and difference of compilation idea and structure between the new textbooks and the other two textbooks.In Part Three through the analysis and comparison of contents distribution and typical cases of new and traditional textbook and Canadian textbook, according to the summary of sameness and difference in contents distribution and typical cases, it is found...
