| Upon the basis of the accomplishments on the management theory, the education innovation theory and the headmaster theory and practices made by predecessors, the challenges faced by the basic education, the abuses in the middle school management and how the headmaster respond the challenges and perform the management innovation are studied and discussed in this article; and, the manners and ways in the middle school and the headmaster leading role are analyzed and demonstrated. In the end, the achievements combined with the theory and practices are yielded, which are not only analyzed through logic and demonstration, but also supported by the operating cases.1. The leading role of the middle school headmaster in the school management innovation is brought out. Through the challenges faced by the middle school in the changing period, the viewpoint that the school must conform to the historic trend, abolish bravely the abuses in the management and perform the management innovation. Also, the school management innovation is analyzed and demonstrated.2. The abuses existed at present in the middle school management and the reasons formed are studied and analyzed. The features of the abuses and the damages to the school development are talked from eight sides. The reasons that these abuses forms are analyzed from eight sides.3. It shows that, the headmaster shall foster continually the self-cultivation for innovation in the practices of the school management; the modernization of the school management is the goal of the management innovation; the modernization of the school management can not leave with the leadership of the headmaster; school management innovation can not leave with the democratization; the modernization of internal school management system is the important part of the management innovation; promote the new lecture course with the teaching management innovation; lead the school to break through the enclosure and go into the society.
