Headmaster is the soul of a school. Nowadays, as the educational reform deepens, therole of headmaster is becoming more and more significant. The evaluation of headmaster, akey point in the reform of headmaster rules and regulations, is no doubt an indispensablefactor with a view to promoting the development of headmaster management. Inaccordance with the current situation and problems within headmaster evaluation, thethesis explores the structure of headmaster evaluation system from the following five parts.The first part is introduction. This part illustrates the reasons of selecting the topic,and briefly introduces the main methodology and the framework of the thesis.The second part analyzes the necessity and significance of establishing headmasterevaluation system, which is put forward under the circumstance of educational reform. Thethesis analyzes the background of establishing headmaster evaluation system in terms ofthree prospects: the development of education reform abroad;the deepening of China'squality education reform;the raising requirement for headmaster corresponding to thereform and development of headmaster regulation system. The thesis also displays theimportance of establishing headmaster evaluation system, which contains: enhancing theformation of the headmaster groups in primary and secondary schools;perfectingheadmaster responsibility system;promoting the development of headmaster major;advancing the development of quality education;fostering qualified talents.The third part analyzes the current situation and problems existing in the evaluation ofheadmaster in primary and secondary schools in China. To establish a scientific headmasterevaluation system, first of all, we should take a closer look at the current situation ofheadmaster evaluation, and then discusses the problems in terms of the situation. The thesisanalyzes the issues of headmaster evaluation from five aspects according to investigationand interview.The fourth part is the enlightenment of the headmaster evaluation system in Britainand the U.S. for establishing our own headmaster evaluation system. The analysis of thetheory and practice of the headmaster evaluation system in Britain and the U.S. is crucialto make out a scientific and correct direction of the evaluation system on the basis of thenational condition.The fifth part is the reflection of the establishment of China's headmaster evaluationsystem. The establishment of China's headmaster evaluation system is a key point inreforming and developing the regulation system of headmaster. However, given somenegative factors, we still have to make efforts to establish the system. The thesis believesthat it is conducive to analyze headmaster evaluation system incompatible with ournational condition in terms of the following five factors: concept;basis;principle;content;main body.
