In the process of urbanization, the citizenization of the peasants is an insurmountable stage. In a sense, the urbanization is to change rural communities into urban communities, and change peasants into citizens. With the constant promotion of the urbanization of our country, more and more rural land is expropriated by the cities, and the formerly villages have gradually become "villages in city". Therefore, the landless peasants in "village in city" are firstly wrapped into the process of urbanization, and become the forerunners of the citizenization of the peasants. Since "village in city" is an intermediate community that is changed from a rural community into an urban community, and "village in city" surrounded by city has its own unique environment and characteristics, the landless peasants in "village in city" have gradually gone through a unique citizenization process under the influence of the special "village in city" community.The landless peasants who live in "village in city" are special social groups. In the process of urbanization, they lose their land that they live on, and they should face the transition from "peasant" to "citizen", but because they live in the special environment of "village in city" that is changed from rural community, their citizenization has a unique characteristic of "village in city". In "village in city", there are economic benefits, various system structure, cultural conflict and various social relationships network, therefore, the landless peasants in "village in city" have complicated and contradicted feelings to citizenization.This article abstracts a "village in city" model from several "villages in city" in Hefei, and analyzes the landless peasants in "village in city" from some aspects, such as registration system, income, lifestyle, and social interaction. The author thinks that the conversion of the landless peasants in "village in city" changing from peasants to citizens is not merely registration system and occupation changes.
