The study explored the burnout model based on JDR theory, and introduced job engagement variable. As a whole, studied the predictive effects of job demand and job resource on burnout and job engagement, taking the teacher sample for example.There are two parts concluded: The first part was to revise the measurements. Using exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach a coefficient analysis to assessment the reliability and validity of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Education Survey, Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, Job Demand Scale and Social Support Scale. The second part was the quantity research, concluding the correlation between burnout and job engagement, JDR model study and the influence of demographic variables on burnoutThe conclusions of the research were:(1) The scales revised in the study had good reliabilities and validities, and could be used in the following research.(2) The three subscales of burnout and three subscales of job engagement had significant negative correlations.(3) The burnout JDR model research showed that job demand and job resource both had significant predictive effects on emotional exhaustion and diminished personal accomplishment, only job resource had significant predictive effect on depersonalization.(4) The job engagement JDR model research showed that job demand and job resource both had significant predictive effects on vigor and absorption, and only job resource had significant predictive effect on dedication.(5) The integrity JDR model research showed that job demand and job resource both had significant predictive effects on emotional exhaustion, job demand had significant predictive effects on diminished personal accomplishment and dedication, job resource had significant predictive effects on vigor, absorption and depersonalization. Emotional exhaustion had significant predictive effects on diminished personal accomplishment and absorption, diminished personal accomplishment had significant predictive effect on vigor, vigor had significant predictive effects on dedication, and in turn absorption had significant predictive effects on emotional exhaustion.(6) Education background, teaching experience, marriage status, the number of the teaching classes,...
