Examining from the eye of a teacher, this paper gives a tentative summary on how to carry out the History activity course (HAC)in middle schools systematically on the basis of former research and my practical teaching. I am greatly inspired by the former researchers when writing the paper, though the ideas in it may be superficial and incomplete. The paper aims to give both practical and theoretical bases to the HAC in middle schools. I am trying to explain the significance of carrying out the HAC, which will train the practical abilities of the students. Also I have discovered some problems that may be heeded in later practical teaching.To finish it, this essay puts forward the demands to the changing of History teachers in carrying out the curriculum on basis of the result of the survey and what new curriculum asks for in the teacher's role of variety:1. History teachers must have a better understanding and carry out the ideas of the new curriculum.2. In the way of evaluation a change should be mad form laying more stress on knowledge teaching to promoting the learning process.3.In relationship between teachers and students, History teachers must change from power-controllers high above the students to "NO. one equaling the students". That is , change form a manager to an instructor, a participant, from a controller to an active promoter, onlooker.4.History teachers must change form users of curriculum to explorers of it.5.History teachers must change from teaching tools to teaching researchers.6.History teachers must master new teaching skills.7. History teachers should actively face the challenge brought by new teaching methods.
