With the swift and violent development of the industrial and agricultural production, the discharging of waste water, waste residue and waste gas in industry, as well as the use of the chemical fertilizer and the agricultural chemicals have polluted humanity's interdependent environment ,have harmed humanity's health unceasingly, and have affected social development. The environmental protection has become the common call and the joint undertaking of the universe. The environmental awareness has become the important constituent of the contemporary humanity culture quality, and becomes an important standard which weighs the civilized degree of a country, a national and even a person. In order to protect the environment and realize the sustainable development between human and environment, we must carry on the environmental education.Many ingredients, the characteristic and the forming process of the pollution and the harm to the human's production and life as well as how to prevent and control and so on, all has the close relation with the content of chemistry teaching. The middle school stage is a crucial time for the growth and the development of a person, and the middle-school student is also the pillar of the 21st century country. Therefore carrying on the environmental education in the middle-school chemistry teaching is each chemistry teacher's bounden responsibility.This paper elaborated the connotation, the goal and the principle of the environmental education. Through searching related literature and taking the related theory of the environmental education as the instruction, and unifying my own teaching practice, it analyzed the necessity and the feasibility of carrying out the environmental education in middle school chemistry teaching in our country .It explored and discussed the way and the method of carrying out the environmental education in middle school chemistry teaching. It also inquired into the main existent questions in environmental education in middle-school and proposed some suggestion to solve.
